Wow. They work better than I thought. For reference, I have 2" x 4.25" fiber metal tubing. I cut the bottom 2 inches or so off my hood because it would hit my sternum if I folded it down to weld. Then I riveted some leather in its place. Works great, won't hurt my girls boobs. However, leather weighs more than fiberglass or the material that makes up the hood, and my old gear has to be adjusted after every flip. He also failed because of the weight. I replaced the originals with this HQ metal stuff and I'm impressed. They carry the extra weight of my custom hood and I only pull them up once or twice a week. Phenomenal product.
