Keep all your hardware from your old setup if you want it to work properly. This is an addition, not a complete set. Although the parts are of good quality.

Took out the old brackets because they were cheap plastic. Have been replaced with these mounts and they work great. Direct replacement and fits perfectly. You too can feel the heavy load. Metal is not cheap plastic. I have a Honeywell conveyor welding hood.

Don't listen to people who say it doesn't fit. Suitable for Honeywell fiber metal tubing. It IS NOT SUITABLE for other hoods as listed. Just installed so not sure about the strength but finally able to tighten the headgear just enough to keep it from falling off. It works.

The threaded rod is not long enough to go through all parts of the welding helmet. I spent money on two sets. Now it would be cheaper to keep both than send them back. At least I can put my grinding helmet on with one set. I have 4 helmets from different brands. Esaub, Sellstrom, Viking and Lincoln. These pen sets do not match any of them.

They are fine. They feel good in the hand, but I find (on my rig) the grips very finicky. The slightest twist tightens it up like hell or loosens it up too much. It's hard to find that sweet spot. Maybe it's just my buddy. I prefer to stick with the original hardware and spend a small amount of money to replace it if it fails.

Wow. They work better than I thought. For reference, I have 2" x 4.25" fiber metal tubing. I cut the bottom 2 inches or so off my hood because it would hit my sternum if I folded it down to weld. Then I riveted some leather in its place. Works great, won't hurt my girls boobs. However, leather weighs more than fiberglass or the material that makes up the hood, and my old gear has to be adjusted after every flip. He also failed because of the weight.
