I bought this product after a long time looking for a sliding door in my yard to keep my kids from leaving the house and going to our swimming pool in Florida. I've looked at many other options from local hardware stores here on Revain. All of the other options require using screws and drilling holes in the aluminum of your sliding door, and I didn't want to go that route. I love this product because it is a clear sliding door latch mechanism, the adhesive properties of this product are amazing, it has been on our sliding glass door here in Florida for 6 months. This product works flawlessly, placed strategically high enough that my 3 year old can't reach it and probably won't be able to reach it until he is at least 10 years old. The adhesive on this particular product is very strong, I have yet to knock it off with the slider and overall this is just a really amazing product. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to keep their rear sliding doors child proof. When placed on glass, the product lays flat, allowing your sliding door to easily and smoothly slide past it in a folded flat storage position when not in use. When folded into the safe door position, it protrudes more than half an inch in the path of the sliding door, preventing the slider from opening. I can't say anything bad about it, it's just a really great product. previously found.
