If you want to remove pins from an ATX power cable you will need this tool. It may be expensive, but it's worth it. After a day of unsuccessful attempts to use other tools and household items to remove the pins from both the male and female ends of an ATX12V extension cable, I purchased this item, a Molex Mini-Fit. Extraction Tool Jr. Following the instructions in the Electronics for Dogs review dated January 10, 2017, I was able to delete all the contacts I needed within minutes. I have found that the female end is easier to remove than the male end, it takes more force to remove the pins. The tool appears to be fairly robust and undamaged having removed 24 pins from one end of the extension cord and five from the other end. .
