It has a swivel to rotate it to the desired angle and it seems to stay firmly in place even on a large smartphone. *** When I received it, I tried to install it on my dashboard without success, my dashboard has a slightly uneven surface, not super smooth, I was convinced that kenu couldn't work with my dashboard because of the uneven surface. I was about to return it but decided to run it under the tap with water and dish soap and just see if that helps, after all this is the recommended way to clean this product. Went back to reinstall and wow this thing is stuck to my dash it's really hard to get it off. Kenu should recommend that you clean it first before attempting to install***
