This spring loaded plunger was ideal for a cabinet door that needed to be held securely in place to allow the mating door to latch. The only thing that worries me is the hexagon next to the ring. The hexagon "head" was only slightly larger than the outside diameter of the thread. The standard 1/4-20 washer that went over the threads was almost too big for the hex part. The hex head barely touched the washer. The hex must be a standard 7/16" in order for the 1/4-20 washers underneath to align properly. As long as you're not looking for something that requires a lot of load, this should still work.
