Review on 🔧 Monroe Shocks & Struts Magnum Severe Service 550012 Shock Absorber: Superior Performance for Intense Conditions by Get Maldonado

Stiffest shocks for Impala, Caprice, Roadmaster and Fleetwood

This is a front shock for GM B/D bodies from the late 70's thru 1996. The rear Monroe Severe Service Shock is part number 550013. The Monroe Severe Service Shock is the strongest non-adjustable shock on the market. They are even stiffer than the Bilstein "Sport" dampers available for these vehicles. I've had this set on my 1996 Impala SS for the last 85,000 miles. I plan to replace them under warranty, but during that time they have not deteriorated at all. They still work much better than the nearly new Monroe SensaTrac that I replaced with them. For more information on these dampeners visit the Impalass forum and see the thread I started when I first discovered these dampeners. Another upgrade I feel NECESSARY are the ZQ8 bumpers. They do more for the car's ride than those big shock absorbers and also improve handling. ZQ8 fenders are available from most GM dealers and the part number is 15956547. For more details on ZQ8 fenders see the thread I created on the ImpalaSSForum when I installed them.
