Review on π§ Dorman 419-303 Automotive Serpentine Belt Tensioner by Mike Lunde
Didn't last for me.
Started making noise after using my car for 90 days. When it started making noise I thought there was something else wrong with my van, it couldn't be the tensioner because I had just replaced it right? After driving for a while I just replaced it with a Gates part which is only $10 more than this Dorman and now my car is quiet again. Gates 38185 is also easier to install as it is designed so you can insert a standard 1/2 inch ratchet between the tensioner and the guide frame to tighten the belt.
