Review on πŸ“¦ MaticBox Case for Raspberry Pi 3 / Pi 2 / Tinker Board – Low Profile, Stackable, DIN Rail Mountable, Automation Friendly, Fan Support (Black) by Joseph Swanson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the case you want. Stackable, expandable flexibility and can hold hats inside the case.

I'm running some headless Pi servers and wanted something cheap. It meets and exceeds my requirements. They can be used individually (flat or with an extension that can hold a hat). Or they can be stacked on top of each other and come with a detachable, sliding mounting base that can be attached to a surface with screws. Besides, I didn't need it. As in many cases, the GPIO pins are exposed. But if you're using a hat, there's still room in the case, so everything is included in the case. It ends up looking semi-professional, not like a Frankenstein with wires and circuit boards hanging down The build quality is excellent (no excess plastic from injection moulding), all the parts fit together well. For $10, it dwarfs every other case I've seen. This will be my goto case. Highly recommended. The photo shows 2 units, the bottom is a pi with no hat and the top has a hat with a deeper cap. The only thing I would suggest the manufacturer is to make an extender/connector (for the middle units in the stack) , which allows the hats to be used on medium blocks.
