I got this because it was made in the USA and looked like it was better designed than my previous awl which was foreign made and poorly designed. I threw it away because it kept eating. When I bought this awl I liked its design because it didn't look like it could get pinched. I was absolutely right, I'm so glad I got this product from this company that I finished the vinyl sleeve I need for my quad bike documents and cables. I finished in record time with more than one cork and very neatly. I have attached an image. Very easy to use, the needles are very sharp. The thread, which is fine, is waxed, so you may need to wipe the needle from time to time. That would be just common sense, however. I will buy another one because for the price including needles and thread they are worth it. I really can't say enough good things about it! Highly recommended.
