2004 Forester XS runs like clockwork
Very easy to install. Postpone the exchange longer than you should. The pivot bolt is slightly looser than the original alternator, but works fine once tightened. Drives a little over a month - about 200 km without problems. No warning lights and the battery stays charged. Good price and no base fee so I still have the original alternator for local recovery if I need it. I've got about 245,000 miles on it now so I'm just seeing how long I can keep it going without breaking the bank.
