I haven't had much luck with hubs. You buy one, sometimes it works, doesn't have that much connectivity, or just doesn't show up on your computer. I'm not a techie when it comes to peripherals, but the only thing that worked well for me with the same connection as connecting directly to your computer was what came with the X-Box. Understand yourself. This is a USB-C hub with a USB-C import port. It says it can connect almost any USB peripheral wherever I go. Though not always. I had several problems with peripheral hard drives. I have a lot of. I use one for Time Machine, the others for my stock photos, and the other for storing client files. I had a problem with bigger Harries. The good thing is that if you have UPDATED USB 3.0 devices but only have a USB 2.0 port on your computer, you can "convert" over it. I don't have this problem but I'm sure I will come across it in the future. In general it worked, but there were some problems when all ports were connected.
