pale colour, poor layer adhesion

Copper floss is probably my favorite ink but this spool is disappointing. The color is slightly paler and less red than the photos and compared to a previous purchase. In my experience, all silk metal PLAs generally have poor layer adhesion and require adjustments to achieve adequate strength, e.g. B. a lower speed and a smaller fan. But this material is again slightly worse than the others. I'm also finding more instances of pronounced layer lines in random places, which is another sign of poor layer adhesion. Last time I used the Veeology brand which has a deeper colour, better silk/metal look, less layer line artefacts and also pristine clean coils. The giant wraps are a bit more random, although I didn't have any confusion. You can see a clear color difference between the two in the photo (I no longer have Veeology and then switched to Giantarm on this print). I would say Veeology looks like copper that has been refined and oxidized darker over the course of several weeks. While Giantarm looks like copper, freshly cleaned and very faint. On some bulbous shapes it looks like terracotta plastic with a slightly shiny metallic effect. Definitely prefer a darker effect, but let's assume that's discretionary. Veeology isn't perfect as it also has less than perfect layer adhesion for functional parts so I decided to try another brand. But personally I would definitely choose Veeology.
