Review on Amazon Basics USB 3.1 Type-C to 3 Port USB Hub with Ethernet Adapter - Black: Fast Data Transfer & Wired Internet Access by Alejandro Lane

Partial dock with this hub

I have a Lenovo 2-in-1 FLEX 6-14IKB laptop that only has an HDMI port and no built-in Ethernet. I really wanted to add ethernet and a second monitor when working at my desk at home, especially since the laptop's 14-inch screen is so small. This laptop has a USB-C port, but doesn't have Thunderbolt 3, which is required when using one of the new docking stations that support DisplayPort over USB-C. Since my laptop doesn't support Thunderbolt 3, I bought this USB-C hub with a built-in Ethernet adapter to get as close to a docking station as possible. Bought RayCue USB to HDMI (mini graphics card) to add this hub, add dock setup: hub works great. I have a reliable wired connection to my home network and the internet. I also connected an older USB 2.0 hub to this USB-C hub for my keyboard, mouse and headphones. So with a USB-C connection to my laptop I have: Gigabit LAN, 2nd (1680X1050) monitor, keyboard, mouse and headphones and I still have one USB 3.0 pin slot open on this hub. Unfortunately, I still have three connections to my laptop (power, HDMI (1st monitor), and this USB-C hub), but that's not a bad thing since they're all right next to each other on the laptop.
