Review on Authentic LG ADQ32598202 Circulation Pump Mesh Filter - Optimized for LG Dishwashers by Daniel Oliver

Our LG dishwasher, model LDS5540ST, did not use all the soap and did not clean the dishes completely. Some google searches suggested that this filter was the culprit so I bought this replacement and it worked. The part I received is identical to the one in the dishwasher and the pattern of holes around the rim is slightly different from what is shown here. - The holes are slightly smaller and rectangular. The number that was on the original filter in the dishwasher was MBN-32856201 but I don't know if that is the part number. Other online sellers have listed this part as ADQ32598202. Annoyingly, LG hasn't made it easy to clean or replace the thin mesh display. I called LG for part numbers and they were just trying to pressure me into hiring one of their service reps. Oh well. Replacing the filter is easy. Remove the two screws holding the rotating sprinkler, then one screw holding the small metal latch that holds the plastic tube that supplies water to the upper arm. Then unscrew the 8 screws holding the filter. You have to pry and pull a little to pull out the old filter. When you start checking for clogs at the bottom of the sump, be careful not to loosen the little black rubber check valve next to the drain hose like I did, or you'll have to pull the unit out, tip it over, and unscrew the motor from the Circulation pump to get it out.
