Authentic LG ADQ32598202 Circulation Pump Mesh Filter - Optimized for LG Dishwashers Review

Taking off one star because the unit I received looks almost refurbished but I installed it and it works. Just worried it arrived so scratched - it wasn't in the box or anything and I know it will never be seen, but you have to take everything out of the dishwasher to get to the filter and I only have it annoyed it can't sparkle like the rest of the dishwasher

My dishwasher was noisy when loading so I replaced the filter hoping that would solve the problem. Replacing the part was a little tricky as both the inner wash sleeve and the part had to be removed. I replaced my dishwasher because it was starting to have numerous issues including noise. The new dishwasher has a detachable screen that makes cleaning easier, rather than the single screen that LG had.

A common problem with LG dishwashers and similar brands is the pump filter becoming clogged. The fine mesh screens allow very fine material to pass and collect in the pump inlets, slowing water movement during spray cycles. The dishes are not washed, the soap does not dissolve and can remain in the dispenser at the end of the wash cycle. It helps with this problem. This may not make the dishwasher work like new again, but it will definitely improve performance.

Our LG dishwasher, model LDS5540ST, did not use all the soap and did not clean the dishes completely. Some google searches suggested that this filter was the culprit so I bought this replacement and it worked. The part I received is identical to the one in the dishwasher and the pattern of holes around the rim is slightly different from what is shown here. - The holes are slightly smaller and rectangular.
