This is a faulty design. If you see the teeth mesh in the picture I pasted, only the teeth closest to the edge are being clamped. This is not a flat grip. If it's not flat, the front tooth should catch, not the backmost tooth. Both fuses in pack 2 had the same problem. I ended up returning them and will be using Keeper 05637 Moving Anchor Point 2-Pack. For me this is the best choice as I have a topper. That's half the price too. I like the idea that they fold up when not in use, but I would never use them for anything important. If the strap is pointing up, the tension is obviously holding it in place. But I would also like to be able to hold gas cylinders upright.
