Review on πŸ”’ Efficient Surco TF200 Tire Carrier for Ford: Secure and Convenient Storage Solution by Samiran Pusarla

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's not worth it. in spare wheel holders

Bought for my husband's E150 van two years ago. I thought it was a good buy, turns out it wasn't. First, this carrier attaches to the driver's side liftgate rather than the old-style hinges, allowing the full weight of the tire to rest on the sheet metal door. Secondly, if your Ford van uses larger commercial 16" light truck tires than your door and the trunk creates an ungodly rumble from the vibration of this setup, and if your van uses 15" car tires, then squeeze the trunk against tires, it deforms. Last but not least, the hose used is thin-walled and breaks after a few years. That's why we only gave it two stars because it only lasted two years. There are other brackets that attach to the bumper mount on Ford vans that are more expensive but worth the money. Don't bother.
