Review on 🔧 DORMAN 917-006 Counter Balance Shaft Seal Kit: Black - Efficient & Reliable Solution for Seamless Shaft Sealing by Joel Norfork

Balance shaft oil seal popped out on my 2001 Honda Accord. I disassembled the motor and put the oil seal back in place, then put this clip on. Good thing it's not a full circle around the shaft because that means you don't have to remove the pulley to install it as long as you keep your original gasket. Other reviews complained about the quality of this print so I thought it best to keep the original. But I noticed that this clip wasn't actually in contact with the aluminum lip around the gasket - there was a gap of a millimeter or two. So I just bent the curve of the clamp a bit with pliers and that made it tight, which I think should be. Great fixer! Five stars for the retainer, minus one star for the lack of confidence in the quality of the filling. It was a difficult repair given my entry-level auto repair experience.
