Didn't fit! Made cheap!

This one was supposed to fit my car. Didn't even come close. Not well done, I'm just being completely honest, I've been working on cars for many years. I tried installing this behind my balance shaft and it just wouldn't line up.

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

The holder does not fit properly. Very important.

radial seal excellent. It contains a feather. The dipstick seal is a big PLUS as another reviewer mentioned. The deflections of the latch after fastening do not correspond to the angles for which it was designed. I had to drill a bolt hole and widen the curve that wraps around the front of the case.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • no mold required

Poor production quality! fits gaskets

As other reviewers have said it doesn't fit flush with the gasket as it's too tight to fit over the edge of the crankcase. I left it as I didn't want to try and widen the crimp. The shaft seal will not fit in the pump bore even when tapped, which is difficult when pulling on a car as the gap from the end of the shaft to the frame is only 2 inches. Impossible to plug the bushing. I agree with others that an OEM seal is the way to go. Also, contrary to some claims that there are springs in the…

It probably would have worked.

The mount has been used and has worked well. The O-ring on the dipstick tube was a nice "bonus". However, the seal was not quite suitable for the balancer shaft. It will not sit completely flush with the hole in the block. I ended up purchasing the seal from my local Honda dealer and there were clear visual differences comparing the Honda part to the one in this kit. The gasket may have worked, but I didn't like that it wasn't fully seated, so I went with the Honda gasket, which was properly…

Works great if you bend the metal clip a bit!

Balance shaft oil seal popped out on my 2001 Honda Accord. I disassembled the motor and put the oil seal back in place, then put this clip on. Good thing it's not a full circle around the shaft because that means you don't have to remove the pulley to install it as long as you keep your original gasket. Other reviews complained about the quality of this print so I thought it best to keep the original. But I noticed that this clip wasn't actually in contact with the aluminum lip around the…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Long delivery

F-series engine modification Honda did something similar as an aftermarket repair and it's all the same. You can actually tell if it's installed before you remove the timing cover if you know where to look. The left side of the metal part protrudes from the timing case, so the screw hole can be fixed on the cylinder block to the left of the timing case in the middle. The small seal is actually for the dipstick tube. Stone! I've heard warnings about replacing this pad as it tends to go bad and…
