Not suitable for solar panel. It adds line resistance and heats up. Because of this, performance fluctuates and drops. I've had a set of these that I've been using for about a year and when the sun comes out and my panels are putting out 400 watts the output drops every 30 seconds and then back down to 400 watts. I blamed my charge controller. I blamed my wiring. I even vinyl my panels. Then last week one of those switches started tripping and I replaced it with a double pole circuit breaker for about the same price. Problem solved!
