Review on ARRIS SB6183 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Compatible with Cox, Spectrum, Xfinity & others (White) by Sharon Fuller

Great modem, I'm a bit glad my old one died. This modem replaced another Arris surfboard that was around 4-5 years old and was very reliable until its death. So I was looking for a new modem that would work with Comcast. This modem got me. I read the reviews and they were pretty good. When I got my new modem it was very easy to connect, as soon as I plugged in the modem everything started to happen. After confirming my new modem, I checked the connection and it was pretty good. The real surprise was how much faster my download speed was. They're three times faster, and while I believe this new modem takes some of the credit, I assume my old modem was outdated and slow. So in the end everything worked out for the best. As for the LEDs and their brightness, they're no brighter or more annoying than my old modem, so no problem. The ambient temperature of this modem is a bit warm, but not bad at all. I have central air conditioning so I suspect the heat probably won't cause it to fail. I think the price is ok and it's better than renting a modem. I've noticed that my WiFi also likes this new modem. I connected a Smart TV to my WIFI and for some reason the connection was better with this new modem.
