I bought a total of 4 of these seals all the while thinking there was a problem with the spindle or hub I installed them on. A careful inspection of the last fault led to a more thorough inspection of the new seal before it was installed. The elastomer of the seal rotates within the housing and creates a leakage path within the seal itself.
