Review on πŸšͺ Dorman 901-306 Door Window Switch - Reliable Switch for Ford/Mercury Models, in Sleek Black by Jared Gopalan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked on my 93' F-250 with a bit of tweaking (should be the same on F-150)

First of all this is not original. They don't have a U or L to unlock or lock. I don't think you will miss them. Otherwise they are of the same construction in that the U side is indented or recessed while the L side is raised. If you've already used this as a lock and unlock link, you won't notice. The only change was the removal of a small tab that allows you to insert the correct link towards the notch or lift depending on locking or unlocking. The factory has a release on the outside on either side, but I believe you can swap them out if you want since you removed the reference tabs. The lugs were supplied from the factory as the pins do not differ on either side and can be misplaced. Since the pins are the same for both sides, this switch is for the passenger or driver side. It is recommended to swap both of them so that you don't have a U/L on one side and not on the other. They are inexpensive, ie for the price of two it is less than the price of an original. Details on the shape of the tab: The tab must be removed completely or flush from below and from the side. If you don't do this, the switch will not line up with the other side that has the wire harness. See photos with a red circle on the tab for details. Finally, I noticed that they look like real "window" up/down switches and therefore have arrows on them. They also have their own tab for window switches, so if you need window switches, they should work for that too. See picture with windows and unlock switches.
