🚪 Dorman 901-306 Door Window Switch - Reliable Switch for Ford/Mercury Models, in Sleek Black Review

Our '96 Ford F-250 passenger door lock has failed. Bouncer on the driver's side but not on the passenger side. This came on recommendation and after reading the reviews. I saw a man use this for a door lock. I just have to change the shank that guides it in place (I cut it off) and it works. I can live with side arrows versus U or D. For me, an elevated key is up and a down key is for moving the window. Thank you to those who write honest informative reviews!

I will add later. This button has a square plastic tab sticking out at the bottom to align it in the slot. The original Ford knob had an L-shaped protrusion. I had to take a sharp knife and cut the bushing a bit to allow this square tab to fit the orienting hole. Another thing is that the raised sides and the nubbed sides are opposite. First of all this is not original. They don't have a U or L to unlock or lock. I don't think you will miss them. Otherwise they are of the same construction in that the U side is indented or recessed while the L side is raised. If you've already used this as a lock and unlock link, you won't notice.
