Review on 🧶 Yarn Valet Yarn Dispenser: Convenient Green & White Solution by Kelsey Brown

I was looking for something like this and I was glad I bought it. It is great for storing skeins of yarn as well as regular skeins. I especially appreciate it for some of the "more flexible" skein styles. I use it for crocheting and have found that the slight tension it puts on the yarn helps keep my size accurate. The only issue I have (and why this rating is 4 and not 5) is that some yarns, especially boucle and soft twists, tend to get stuck in the holes in the base of the spindle. I'm not sure why they are part of the design as I can't think of any reason why. To solve the problem, my first solution was to use blue masking tape and tape it carefully so that it completely covers the gaps (otherwise they would keep sticking). After a few rolls I found the tape was peeling off. My next fix worked fine and lasted at least 30 strands with no issues. I used some press plastic and cling film (available at the grocery store), pressed it and trimmed it. This solved the problem for me. I'll try to upload some photos to show how it looks in situ. This tool has changed the way I use strands. I have always pulled from the center except for the cake style yarn. Now I pull almost all my projects from outside.
