Review on πŸ”Œ Ideal for Long-Distance USB Connectivity: IOGEAR USB Extender over Ethernet, GUCE64 - Reach 164 Feet! by Corey Slivinsky

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works for my VR headset.

Used to extend USB 2.0 35ft with Cat6 cable. It does its job well and adds minimal latency. I wanted to avoid daisy chaining multiple USB 2.0 cable extenders as each extender acts as a "hub" and can increase latency. This allows you to add an extender that is also a 4-port hub. I use it for the USB extender for my HTC Vive (Virtual Reality HMD) and it works great. There are no lags, the built-in video camera works. Edit: After 2 years the machine stopped working. I've tried several known-good ethernet cables, swapped out the USB cable on the local end, etc. Both devices show red for power, but the link indicator never lights up and so no USB devices can be connected. Previously, the device showed signs of failure, USB devices suddenly appeared and disappeared. It worked fine when it worked.
