Review on Hopkins 47297 INSIGHT Simplified Brake Control Plug-in by Eduardo Davis

I like the easy installation, everything went very quickly. I really like the fact that the display is separate from the controller, which gives me a safe line when setting up on the go. What I don't like is the red light that is always present on the controller. Like others, it's installed in my RV, so I'm concerned about long-term storage and battery drain. I have a feeling they could ditch that light altogether, as the display shows whether or not a trailer is connected, and a quick press of the buttons on the controller confirms the device is online. I'll see if I can add a switch to the hot wire to turn off the device. I'll update this review when I've ridden a few miles.
