Review on T Fal Anodized Cookware Thermo Spot Indicator Kitchen & Dining in Cookware by Jill Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Terrible product quality and NO WARRANTY - DON'T THINK

I've been a longtime Tfal customer and have noticed that the fit and finish have diminished significantly over time. I still have several of the pans from the set I bought 3 years ago and when I compare the weight/weight of the old pans to the new ones I see a definite difference. The new pans are lighter and appear to be made from cheaper materials. Also, the finish around the handle rivets on the lids and pots isn't as strong as it used to be. This was a first impression based on the new pans. Fragile pans are a big problem when cooking - these pans slide easily over the stove when empty (when I accidentally hit them with the back of my hand) - the old ones were heavy enough not to move In the photos you can see that the pans do not work as advertised - the bottom of the pan is completely scratched. I've been using it 3/4 times a week since purchasing it in mid-May - I'm writing this review on July 27th, 2020, so about 2 1/2 months later. I have other TFal pans that are much older and look much better. The frying pan, which was supposed to be titanium coated, is already cracked (see photo) and has only been used sparingly. It has no non-stick properties. If I don't use fat, the eggs always stick. In fact, there is always a layer of burnt food on the bottom of the pan after cooking that takes a fair amount of elbow grease to remove - NO ANTI-PLUG PAN ONLY. Again, the effectiveness of the non-stick coating is well below what I'm used to from Tfal. So far I've only used these 2 pans from the set I bought in May and I'm totally disappointed. I've contacted Tfal to see if they honor the warranty - and they seem willing to "price" the pans, but I have to physically ship them at my expense and also include return postage for them to send them to me send me back There is no guarantee that they will replace pans or ship pans that are actually faulty. In fact, that guarantee is pretty much useless - no one is going to spend $30 on return shipping without a refund guarantee, even if the pots turn out to be defective. In fact, this is just a guarantee in words that has no real value for the consumer.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • I won't say anything
