I bought a great backup camera system at a reasonable price. This can be highly recommended for people who need a basic backup camera on their car. I installed this system on my 2013 Ford Fusion for reverse use only. It worked great. At first I struggled to find the right wire to connect to the tail light. Eventually I realized I needed to disassemble one of the rear turn signals that is mounted on my car's trunk, which makes the job a lot easier. Use a wire stripper (a knife will do) to cut the cable, then attach it firmly to the camera with the red wire. The trick was that the black wire going to the camera should be connected to the black wire going to the reverse light. It took me over 20 minutes to figure this out and turn on the screen on the rearview mirror because I followed the instructions on the manual. manual and only (+) ground wire connection didn't work in my case. Connecting the cable to the rearview mirror was relatively easy, and the rearview mirror bracket matched the original rearview mirror perfectly. After installation everything was perfect except the rearview mirror screen was so reflective on the only sunny day. This unpleasant reflection for the eyes should be improved or updated. Updated 05/01/2019. After about 6 months of use, the mirror monitor stopped working due to the very cold Michigan weather. So I contacted Emmako to see if they could replace it with a new one. We exchanged several emails to verify that the mirror monitor is working properly. Unfortunately, it turned out to be wrong. So they generously decided to send me a dashboard with a monitor. I hooked it up to my existing backup camera. You can see this in the photos below. It worked great. I really appreciate Emmako's customer care. I hope this doesn't cause any problems even if another winter comes.
