My 10 year old son is 4'10" and around 85-87 pounds. He is playing water polo. Now in the winter he is practicing at an outdoor pool from 6-7:30pm and it is downright chilly!I was hoping to not spend $100+ on a speedo jacket, so figured I should try this one out.My son is on the cusp of this jacket. As you can see, it is long enough on the sleeves and is wide enough, but he wishes it was longer so his legs wouldn't be exposed. So his only complaint is that he wishes it was bigger!Therefore, if your child is shorter than 4'10" this swim jacket really will work for them. But if they are 4'9"+ maybe get a size bigger so they can use it for a couple of years and grow into it.In sum, this jacket is warm, soft, the zipper works well, and I can definitely recommend it!
