Review on 🌬️ Dremel 490 Black Dust Blower by Ronnie Polk

I wasn't sure how this blower would attach to my old Dremel 398 based on the description. But it said it would fit any Dremel that uses a standard collet. Well the standard collet fits my Dremel so I ordered it. The problem is that I don't use a standard collet. I use a much more convenient Dremel chuck that is similar to a drill chuck. It's much more convenient than switching between four different sized collets. The description should have simply been that the blower should replace the collet nut and be used in conjunction with collet inserts that are not included. Apparently my Dremel only came with one collet, and the manual recommends purchasing the entire set of four if you want to use a different size accessory. If I had known I would have to buy and reuse collets I would not have ordered this blower. Laughing it, I bolted it to a Dremel to see how much "bang" it causes. To my surprise, it wasn't noticeable. As one reviewer said, more air comes out of the Dremel's side vent! Well, if they could THOSE Redirect air forward to the workpiece, you'd win!This fan was a good idea, but it needs to be put back on the drawing board.Instead of doing something that works like an old collet nut, do something that works like a Dremel chuck !And it blows better!
