I have this in my shop and I am slowly collecting it. The photo of the dust bin was clearly taken before I connected it to the system (waiting for another 4 inch hose). Now I have everything assembled and am very satisfied. I used the Dust Right quick connector to easily attach the hose to various tools. This week I used DC on my jointer and it worked great, no blockage was found. Haven't tried it on a flat machine yet but I think it will be fine. The noise the DC makes isn't that bad, it's definitely quieter than a vacuum cleaner. Many have asked questions about the fan blade so I have a photo showing that it is metal and is a significant blade, looks very sturdy and is much heavier than I expected. I have used this for general cleaning of sawdust on the bottom and top of tools and it works very well. It doesn't grab a metal washer or screw, but I can see it's like vacuuming up the dust and all your gear ends up right where you left it. plug into a dedicated circuit and of course draws half the amps of a 120v installation. The circuitry in the switch left a lot to be desired but I speculated at first and then contacted an electrician I know and he agreed with my guess. So I made modifications to the switch housing and a different plug wire cap. I think the extra money for Dust Vice (DD) was the right decision. I've used the DC a couple of times without it and the dust in the bag was sticking to the inside and I was worried it would affect the efficiency of the system. With the DD installed, I couldn't see any dust reaching the bag, although I'm sure some of them do. You can see the stem used for this which I also bought from Revain and the installation was easy. I cut a the appropriate size hole in the lid, drilled holes for 12 bolts but made the flange out of 1/4" plywood as the lid is not flat and I was concerned that the sealing surface wasn't big enough, to be sure. I screwed it on and went over the gap between the plywood flange and the cover. Installing the DC to the wall was easy enough, I cut a 3/4" piece of plywood long enough to to straddle the 16" OC studs, and screwed it on. attach and screw the mounting plate onto it. I picked up the DC and hooked it to the mounting plate. The DC was packed in a box that contained a Powertec Box was located with styrofoam molded around it.Nothing was damaged, every bit and piece where it is.They even have a wire nut inside the switch housing for replacing the 220V wiring! The fit and finish is pretty well and everything seems solid and well made too I have to say other brands of wall mount DC mounts are probably made in the same place and just branded for different companies. yes, that's why I went with the cheapest and couldn't be happier. For the cons: I'm not sure I can come up with many. Without DD I don't think a 2.5 micron filter bag is a good solution. There is a zipper at the bottom of the bag but I think emptying it would be a bit messy. The circuit diagram could be made much clearer.
