This is a great addition to my little shop, but you must stay within its confines. It pretty much needs a 4 inch hose with short drops to attach or it will quickly stop sucking. For example, if you separate a 4 inch hose from a 10 foot 2 1/2 inch hose, you will be very disappointed. too small (about 1 5/8 inches) to work with any efficiency. He has coped with everything that I have associated with him. My plane and jointer can really make a few shavings and it just takes care of it, works great

Bad overall design.

It was actually easier to assemble and hang than attaching a grass catcher. A very disappointing experience. First, the collection bag is made from a blanket-like fabric. It has a tension thread to tighten it up a bit BUT. Because of the webbing material, the drawstring was extremely difficult to pull and attach to the engine case. Second, as you can see in the photo, the motor neck that the bag attaches to is only about 1 inch wide (top to bottom). Having trouble getting the bag up to the…

Vacuum cleaner for mechanical and hand tools

Supplied in a box with fabric pouch, wall mount with screws and clip. I have a newly built 12' x 16' shop. With this vacuum cleaner I will collect the connecting pipe. In the world of pipes, plumbing and dust extraction generally don't go well together. I'll be keeping track of the progress I'm making here, what's working and what's not. Benefits1. Seems well built and good paintwork.2. Suction seems to be sufficient before assembling my vacuum installation.3. The collection bag is thick and…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

really good dust collector well made beautiful even

I have this in my shop and I am slowly collecting it. The photo of the dust bin was clearly taken before I connected it to the system (waiting for another 4 inch hose). Now I have everything assembled and am very satisfied. I used the Dust Right quick connector to easily attach the hose to various tools. This week I used DC on my jointer and it worked great, no blockage was found. Haven't tried it on a flat machine yet but I think it will be fine. The noise the DC makes isn't that bad, it's…

Ideal solution for a small shop

If you're considering this product then you've probably, like me, reached the limits of what you can do with your 2.5" unit can do vacuums, even with your cyclone lid on that trusty 5-gallon bucket. While my 12-gallon shop vacuum is great for small tools like my hand sander, it just can't break it open for the dust that gets thrown up by the router table, the Jointer, table saw, drill etc. especially if you want to use a dust hood, floor sweeper or built in vents to catch chips and dust. Pros
