Review on 📦 Lambro 3005 Vent Tite Fit: 90 Degree Rectangular Dryer Duct, 18" to 30" Extension, 26 Gauge Aluminum- The Perfect Fit by Richard Dean

Townhouse The seller of our dryer sold us a unit that was too big for my size [the wall again to get to the dryer duct] and said "Well , you have 3 by 4 inches that the flexible duct should give you" and went. The sliding door hides the washer and dryer so the dryer had to be pushed back to close the doors. I needed another 1 1/2 or 2 inches. Having just experienced a dryer vent fire (cause of a new dryer!), I am unwilling to do anything less than optimal to vent this dryer. I called the hardware store, they didn't help right away and it sounded like they were preparing to deny responsibility and hit me with restocking fees. In an attempt to get this dryer buying project over with, fight the store, and spend more time at the laundromat, we actually cut out a piece of drywall just behind the oversized dryer to try to flex the duct freely and allow for maximum Ventilation. Does not work due to the position of the rivets. It kind of worked, but the curve moved up and then down. Not very good. A carpenter's recommendation led us to the TITE FIT dryer channel. We booked it overnight with Revain.Results. Truly a miracle. It fits snugly into the dryer opening (not always the case with some air ducts), moves to the right, and then offers another 90-degree rotation. From here, a short piece of flexible tubing (I hate flexible tubing) covers the final stretch. Fit Tite uses a 6-inch rectangular duct that compensates for the 4-inch round shape by expanding the duct outward and providing seemingly unrestricted airflow for the dryer. We applied Tite Fit, held our breath, and put the dryer back in place. It fits perfectly. The Tite Fit works great because the dryer fits snugly against the wall and only by pressing against the wall keeps the Tite Fit snug on the dryer vent. The Tite Fit's ability to pivot up and down on the dryer vent allowed the unit to pass through the inlet gas line, and the flexible connection with the final end Tite Fit made amends. The door closes an inch with a margin! I am so happy that I wrote to the company and additionally took the time to write a lengthy review here to help someone solve a seemingly insurmountable problem. The quality of the product is good. Finally, its simplicity makes it easy to clean the air ducts in my oversized townhouse dryer.
