Review on X-Sense SD01 10-Year Battery Smoke Detector with Escape Light - UL 217 Compliant (Not Hardwired) by John Clark

Battery life is hard to tell as I just received and installed it but if it lasts as advertised it seems like a good device at a competitive price. The only problem I had was figuring out how to orient the mounting bracket so the LED was oriented the way I wanted it when the alarm was mounted to the bracket. Some alignment marks on the mounting bracket (as provided by other companies) would be helpful. I gave the product 3 stars only because of the installation issue and the product has only been in use for a few days. If it works well, then it's worth the money.
