You bumbling reviewers need to stop giving 5 star ratings to products with obvious flaws or the manufacturers will NEVER FIX ANYTHING. based on the MP2315 regulator which is actually a fairly efficient synchronous design, albeit a bit noisy. As with most regulators there is some roll off under load so most are fairly normal. The pin order corresponds to another set of fairly well-known controls, so there's nothing wrong with that. The PCB size is about 20mm x 10.7mm. Congratulations that the PCB size is not listed in the product description. A star falls for this. This thing has no mounting holes or features. Here's another star. As many have said, clipping the track to use presets is a silly idea. It would be much better to simply omit the conductor track and use the solder jumper that is actually already there, instead of making the mistake of a conductor track. The problem is compounded by the fact that the track you need to cut is right next to the track. via these sources ALL OTHER JUMPERS. If you mess up cutting that trace, you can cut the source for all the other jumpers. This is a circuit board layout that corresponds to urinating upstream from where you get drinking water. And then all the other stars fall. Let's be honest: most people will probably use this as a USB power source. Preset 5V The resistor, which is a 0603 package of about 39kΩ, outputs 5V with no load. However, once you load it, the output will drop. Some devices may not like it. The USB spec actually allows for a voltage boost of up to 5.25V to account for things like that and cable losses. So what you really need is a preset resistance of around 40-41k ohms. Luckily, the adjustable resistor is surprisingly easy to remove from the board. Simply heat the clamps alternately and you can push it back. You don't have to try to cut the track when you do this. Unfortunately, the default 5V resistor is blocked by the inductor, so it can't be easily changed. Unfortunately I don't even have a 41 kΩ resistor. Resistance. However, I have 82 kΩ resistors. So instead I removed the resistors for the 12V and 9V presets, put the 82kΩ resistors in their place, and soldered their two jumpers together. Since this puts both of them in parallel, this actually gives 41 kΩ. I've attached a picture of the top of my mod. That aside, my open circuit voltage is about 5.24V and with a 0.8A load it dropped to about 5.2V. I'm currently powering two Raspberry Pis; none of them warned of low voltage. In short: don't buy it.
