This device must consume or waste a lot of energy. I bought 4 of these so I can connect 4 Pixel 3a for use in a home streaming studio where the pixels are used as network cameras. The gigabit connection works great, but quickly drains the phone's battery and even with a 30W fast charger connected, the phone is unable to maintain a charge. A maximum of 15W is required to charge the phone. I don't understand how this product can draw so much current without allowing enough current through for the phone's battery to charge. I will return it and look for another product. I wouldn't advise buying this if you want your phone or tablet to charge while using wired network connections. Another issue is that the key wire is only 4 inches long. Too short.
