There are too many details in the description. and other reviewers are unfair. The configuration is a bit annoying. Here's what you absolutely need to know to make this work: 1) The default address is 192.168.0.233. To connect, you may need to set your computer's address to 192.168.0.1 and then connect a cable. 2) Leave the WLAN settings on "Auto". It determines which channel and power works best. 3) I recommend using 40 for channel width if you have newer devices. If you have older devices you may need to set the value to 20 and if you want B compatibility you are wasting your money. N technology is not compatible with B devices. B, G, and N are the "speed" that each class can achieve. All you need to know is that B is old and slow, G is what most people have, and N is new and faster. 4) I recommend setting up some security. WPA2-PSK works fine. You can use something like a cell phone number as a network key. It's easy to remember and your neighbors probably don't know. 5) Change your password. It's not that hard to do. All other settings are available but not required by a normal user. This device has an excellent signal. However, you won't get 300MB or 100MB etc on most networks. The reality is that everyone has WiFi, so it's like a crowded freeway. you can't go very fast. The good thing about it is that it moves more data and reconfigures itself depending on what's going on. This is great if you're in an apartment or live near other people who have a wireless connection. About me: I work in information technology and design and analyze systems for a living.
