Thin, flimsy and not designed for real protection.
This is a great lock for items you are not very serious about protecting. It's flimsy, flimsy, and almost anyone with a decent tool kit can bypass this lock. Still, it's a good buy and I'm glad I bought it. I use it as a cheap tool box at work so people can't just grab my cheap hand tools. I would never recommend using this on a gate, especially outside in inclement weather. If you are looking for a good luggage lock, a tool box lock or just something that will act as a visual deterrent then this lock is for you.
