Review on Turtle Counted Cross Stitch Orcraphics by Nicole Mcleod

I've just started this but I think the characters used in the pattern could do be better. They are very similar and I decided to enlarge the diagram to make it easier to follow. My main point is that the colors seem clearer in the picture than how the filaments work. Also, most things I've done have some sketches, but this one doesn't. I'll probably add a medium color outline around the outside edges to make it look more finished. I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner because of the pattern and close colors. I'm a little disappointed because it's so cute. I just want to buy the pattern and choose the threads myself.
