Cast out some directions. You are confusing. Taillight cables are connected. Remove the spare tire along with the jack box. Plug in the right tail light connector, route the wire along the back of the trunk. Use a screwdriver to remove the paint around the taillight stud/screw and ground the white wire there. Take some plastic glue to stick the module in the corner. Pass the (4-wire) tow hitch plug through the rubber grommet under the spare wheel. Leave the wire slack in the middle of the pole so you can pull it out or wrap it around the hitch if needed. Route the black 12V power cable along the left side of the vehicle. Do not operate it on battery power. This includes opening the hood and trying to find a place to get through the car's firewall. Just buy a cable to add a fuse and connect it directly to the fuse box. Make sure you connect it to a 12v fuse, the invention requires you to use keyless emergency lights in the ignition. I gave the item four stars because while I'm very mechanically inclined, the instructions were confusing. I also gave it four stars because my module didn't have a Curt sticker or any Curt branding on it. So who knows if it's even Kurt. I will update my review if anything happens.
