I mounted the tires in October, but I didn't get around to writing a review until much later since I wanted to give myself enough time to see how the rubber performed in a variety of environments before I commented on it. Now that it has been tested in actual winter conditions, it has been proven to ride, and a comprehensive picture can be painted of the behavior of rubber in a variety of environments, ranging from dry asphalt at the start of the season through ice and snow. If we were to sum up these tires using just one word, we might say that the ideal term to choose is "stability." Rubber gives drivers the ability to feel confident behind the wheel in almost any environment. Even on ice, there are quite decent handling and braking characteristics; the most important thing is to select a speed that is appropriate for the conditions. Even on newly fallen or partially melted snow, the vehicle does not burrow or crawl in the snow, and its cross-country ability is not poor. I would grade the tires as "excellent" overall, and I have high hopes that they will have a long life.
