EDIT 7/23/2021 The lock is broken AGAIN! Won't auto lock, codes entered won't work leaving people locked out and I'll turn that up and turn manual lock back on! There doesn't seem to be a single number to call if you need help, so you can't fix the problem right away. This lock has caused more trouble than it's worth! EDIT 7/6/2021 A new lock arrived but it didn't work so I just went back to my old manual lock and was done with it. The company contacted me and offered to do a video installation with me to go through the whole process, which we did. I had the same issues as with the install itself, but we fixed the issues and the lock worked. The melody went on and on. I am very happy with the customer service. EDIT 12/13/20: The company quickly approached me with an offer to replace the lock. A new one is being shipped so the updated rating to 3 stars is based on quick customer service and hoping a new functional lock arrives at the same speed. Will update when it arrives. ***************************** EDIT 12/10/20: I ordered this lock in February. It's December and the castle is out of service. The codes don't work, the auto-lock function works sporadically and I've had to change the batteries before, but I still get a warning in the app that the batteries are at 10%! It was very difficult to run to open the door because people can't get in. DO NOT ORDER THIS LOCK! I wish I had paid more attention to reviews from people who have had this chateau for more than a week! ************************ just installed this lock today. Let me spare you some of the pitfalls that hit me! 1. There is a reset button on the back of the keyboard which CAN be pressed to make the lock appear on your Bluetooth. CLICK IT! Don't wait until you've installed the whole lock and then take it apart to get to the button like I did. Let this be the first step of your installation. 😒2. The rod that extends from the keypad through the latch to actually lock and unlock the door only has a specific angle of rotation. Make sure that bar is rotated to the "open" position before threading it through the bolt, otherwise you'll gather the whole lock and then wonder why your deadbolt isn't turning. This results in the lock having to be disassembled to fix the problem. Again. 😑3. If you don't read this in time and find that one of your screws in the bottom panel is hopelessly stuck in a double-sided screw that has loosened from repeated assembly and disassembly, luckily there are extra screws in the box, bolt cutters are only available at Home Depot $20 and you can return it right after you cut &#*/$*! get out in the parking lot. 🤬4. Unless you live in a tiny house, you won't be able to program this lock without leaving your bedroom, where you've retired to have a cup of tea after you FINALLY set the lock right. No, you must be within 2 meters of the lock once you have selected the Bluetooth option. So it's fun! 🤨I have no idea how well this lock will hold up as it was only fitted today. I'll come back and edit the review in a few months when I know more, but for now I like it. Now all that remains is to repaint the front door from the imprint of the old lock 🙄
