Doesn't work with power accessory

I could be operator error but when I tried to use this adapter for my hair tools in Northern Europe it was an epic mistake. Your outlets are recessed about half an inch or more into the wall, and the prongs on this adapter don't reach. If you put an extension cord on the prongs, it won't hold securely in the outlet and will put out enough electricity to keep the light on the curling iron lit but not get hot. I should have researched more.
