Beautiful flat stone. The 400 side is rough enough to quickly mold my worst kitchen knife when they aren't great for quick sharpening. 1000 pages is usually enough to get the thin edge of the knives for a nice smooth cut. I finally have sharp knives in the kitchen again after my valueless partner RUNS MY KNIFE BLADE ON ALL POSSIBLE SURFACES regardless of what she's doing. I mean damn it's one thing if it was an isolated incident but every time the knife is used I find it in the sink so the blade touches the wall of the sink. Well, at least my whetstone is easy to repair now.
