Review on Dremel 108 Engraving Cutter 32 Inch by Tyler Gannamani

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works well. Short

*UPDATE 12/30/20** I've blown through 2 more beats in about 3 hours total usage since I wrote my last review so I'm deducting a star. Again, they work fine while they last, but that window seems to get smaller and smaller with each new order. I'm not sure if these are genuine Dremel bits anymore, so I'll buy my next set direct from the Dremel website - I suggest you do the same because they're not worth the money. ----------- ---------- I engrave wood and use 108 for smaller, more detailed areas. This is great for getting the accuracy I need, but when they dull they REALLY dull and they seem to lose their sharpness very quickly. I bought a replacement in September, then had to get another one in December and now I need another one. And I really don't use them that much when engraving - if I were to count, I'd say the last two I bought lasted about 10 full hours of actual use before wearing out. Overall it's great while still working, but the durability is seriously lacking.

Pros
  • For engraving, carving, milling wood, fiberglass, plastics and soft metals. Not suitable for hard materials.
Cons
  • Communication with seller
