Cuts aggressively but is easy to control.

I needed a small piece that cuts well. This beat does it. I'm doing great work on my cool wooden boxes. The ball at the end of this nozzle allows me to trim edges as well as remove material in general. The bit cuts aggressively but is easy to control. I plan to buy more bits of this style in different diameters.

  • US CUSTOMER SERVICE. Available via chat, email, phone or our service center in Racine, Wisconsin.

Not as shown Rotary Power Tool Parts and Accessories

The Dremel drill on the left in my photo is the same as the one advertised here. The drill on the right in my photo was delivered. ' and a smaller head that makes it very easy to cut deeper into the material and even make undercuts for inlays. (Also, it's about a quarter inch longer overall than shipped.) Supplied has a short, steep taper that ends in a larger head, making these things a lot harder - not impossible - to do. Not what I wanted. but not worth going back.

Pros
  • Compatible with all Dremel rotary tools.
Cons
  • Secret

Works well. Short

*UPDATE 12/30/20** I've blown through 2 more beats in about 3 hours total usage since I wrote my last review so I'm deducting a star. Again, they work fine while they last, but that window seems to get smaller and smaller with each new order. I'm not sure if these are genuine Dremel bits anymore, so I'll buy my next set direct from the Dremel website - I suggest you do the same because they're not worth the money. ----------- ---------- I engrave wood and use 108 for smaller, more detailed…

Pros
  • For engraving, carving, milling wood, fiberglass, plastics and soft metals. Not suitable for hard materials.
Cons
  • Communication with seller

*drum roll* In 2 days we have. Not what I expected?

I bought this along with buying a Dremel, 105 bits and one of the extra Dremel rotary shafts (I highly recommend this btw. Much easier) But I digress. This 108-bit is pretty cool. I do a lot of micro cutting and detailing and this allows me to do it. The product photos didn't show the tip in as much detail as I expected and I didn't quite realize that it was square, more triangular. Sharp flat tip tapering towards the stem. I subtracted a star for lack of detail, trying to better show tip…

Pros
  • USE: Engraving/carving/etching (turquoise color code)
Cons
  • Weight
