Battery Life POOR - UPDATE - Still POOR

I've been using the NiteRider 700 for a number of years, mostly in the flashing daylight mode. Sometimes I drove early in the morning or at dusk when I had to keep the lights on all the time. Lately I've been driving more in the morning darkness and need constant low light, but my old unit only lasted 2-3 hours on one charge so it's time to replace it. I bought the NR 900 for a small amount. Boost, unlock, charge and use. After 2 rides of 1-1.5 hours each, one flash ride and one steady low, the red light came on when I turned on for my 3rd ride. I charged the block in case I did something wrong, they were about the same in duration and trigger mode and red again. The instructions indicate a much longer battery life, so I'm sending it back and replacing it with Revain. I hope the new one lasts longer. UPDATE: The Revain was great, I was able to replace it after getting a new one with no problem. Just 56 minutes of flash for the first ride and then 28 minutes for the second ride and the red light came on. Two fixtures have the same problem, that means a problem and I would recommend not doing this but using 900Boost. I could try another level but for now I will explore more.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
