Fur. pain to make it work.

This is my first experience with a hole saw. Not sure if this is normal for hole saws, but it was hard to get this thing to work properly. First, if you turn the saw clockwise, it just spins off the drill bit and falls down. The damn thing also slipped out of the drill and had to be tightened several times. I finally managed to get it to work properly. The trick is to use it counterclockwise (at full speed). This way the blade doesn't slip off the drill bit and also the blades are positioned to cut in that direction. This is confusing at first because the hole usually has to be drilled clockwise and counterclockwise (right tight, left loose with screws), but here it's the other way around. This defies common sense with a drill. I had a hard time cutting through PVC which is already a soft material. I can't even imagine how they cut wood or metal. I was able to get the job done and install the 3 inch vents I wanted installed but my goodness what a pain!
